The best way to do this is to start working on a word that is made up of smaller words, or that has the potential for lots of great endings. Normally you will want to try for words that use as many common letters as possible, so you aren’t waiting for something like a K.

So, if you’re going into a tunnel from the beginning of a word, you could build up a word like the following:

IN
INTER
INTEREST
INTERESTING
INTERESTINGLY

If you’re entering the tunnel from the end of the word, you might try something like the following:

IONS
NATIONS
DESTINATIONS
PREDESTINATIONS

I’ve gotten to a one letter wide “alley” that goes for 9 or 10 letters. How can I play that? Even if I use my whole hand I don’t know what will pop up next

Definitely best word game I’ve found (I’m already a cryptic xword fan, but QatQi is challenging, fun and informative, all at the same time!). Well done to The Team for a clever concept! Aren’t words brilliant?!
You have my vote, even though I’m addicted and should be spending my time more constructively (but where’s the fun in that?!!!)

This is one of the best games I have ever played. Thank heavens for local rankings where I can be number one in my rural area followed by the dose of reality for the country and world rankings! Satisfying every competitive bone in my body. Thanks for the undo discount too!

Ditto the above comments. I’m stocking up on undos for the ‘Nigh impossible’ – as much as I’d like to be able to just lay out the letters, I’m afraid the ‘undo’ function is my best friend! Thanks for the quick fix and the discounts. And yes, the game is that addictive I rest my iPads date!
