QatQi Will Relaunch in 2025

I believe word games should be challenging, deep, and sophisticated. Almost exactly 12 years after its original launch, I have started bringing the acclaimed word game QatQi back to life. I’m starting over from scratch, and I invite you to into my world to see how it all works.

Word games can be better.

Much better.

In 2012, I set aside six months of my life to create a new kind of word game. It was sophisticated, challenging, and beautiful. Creating QatQi was one of the most exciting, rewarding times in my career. When it launched, QatQi was featured by Apple for over three weeks, and shot up to #2 in the word games category.

Unfortunately, QatQi wasn’t sustainable, and I pulled it from the App Store in 2017. Since then, I have received hundreds of emails like these:

I have learned a lot since 2012, and today’s mobile ecosystem is more amenable to a game like QatQi than it was back then. So I’m giving it another shot. I recently left a rewarding job to create and launch on an all-new QatQi in 2025.

I invite you to follow along. You’ll watch me go from a rough draft to a finely polished word game that you’ll want to play every day. Let’s do this together!
